According to Jaafar Jaafar, a journalist, Aisha Buhari, the first lady, assisted her security detail in beating Aminu Muhammad, a university student, to a pulp.

She fractured her leg while kicking the victim, he continued.

Remember that the First Lady has recently been in the headlines for reportedly arranging Muhammad’s detention after he allegedly insulted her in a tweet?

On June 8, 2022, Muhammad, a 500-level student at Federal University, Dutse in Jigawa State, published a tweet under the name @aminullahie, which the First Lady allegedly deemed offensive.

“Su mama anchi kudin talkawa ankoshi,” the tweet in Hausa reads, along with a picture of Aisha Buhari.

The tweet’s translation roughly translates to “Mama feels full after eating the money of the impoverished.”

Contrary to what has been reported, according to Jaafar, Muhammad was not detained by members of the Department of State Services (DSS), commonly known as the SSS, but rather by plainclothes police officers.

According to my research, plain-clothed police officers, not the SSS, were responsible for the arrest and torture of two women: Zainab Kassim and @aminullahie, a final-year student (a former social media aide to First Lady).

The action was planned and carried out by Usman Shugaba, Aisha Buhari’s ADC.

“Though it may sound like a fairy tale, what happened next is true: three security aides beat the pair to a pulp in front of Mrs. Buhari.

The First Lady decided to assist Aminu and Ms. Kassim in their fight after noticing that they were not getting properly pummeled.

She slipped while attempting to kick and fractured her leg.

Publisher of Daily Nigerian Jaafar described how the publication broke the news of the First Lady visiting a hospital after breaking her leg.

She was treated at Cedercrest Hospital because of the injury she sustained during the attack.

“Although Ms. Kassim was released on the condition that she refrain from speaking to the media, the final-year student might be charged with false defamation.

For democracy, this is unfortunate, the journalist continued.

Since the claim was published on Monday, the presidency has not replied.
