Senator Emmanuel Bwacha was removed from office by a Federal High Court in Taraba State for switching from the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Taraba South is represented by Senator Bwacha in the National Assembly.

Since Bwacha switched from the PDP to the APC, the Taraba State PDP branch has petitioned the court to have the senator’s seat declared empty for leaving the party for which he was elected.

In his decision, Justice Simon Amobeda commanded Senator Bwacha to leave the Senate right away.
