JUST IN: WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW ABOUT EDO STATE DEPUTY GOVERNOR, 31 YEARS OLD

On Monday, Governor Godwin Obaseki of Edo State appointed Omobayo Marvellous Godwins as the state’s new Deputy Governor.

This comes after the dramatic impeachment of former Deputy Governor Philip Shaibu.

Omobayo is the new Deputy Governor of Edo State.

He is a seasoned engineer with extensive professional expertise in the oil and gas industry.

Omobayo, born on July 19, 1986, is from the Akoko Edo Local Government Area of the State.

He holds a B.Eng degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering and an Msc in Public Administration from the University of Benin (UNIBEN), making him an excellent candidate for the position of professional and expert in public administration.

He is a recognized member of both the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE) and the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria.

A well-versed young professional, he worked as a Senior Maintenance Engineer for Dresser Wayne West Africa Limited, where he honed his skills in operations in the South South region, offering excellent service and expanding the company’s presence.

He has also been politically involved in his local government, creating trust with the people and rallying them for common goals, much to the dismay of his opponents.
