Lagos PDP attacks Wike over Olabode George remarks

The Lagos PDP has attacked FCT Minister Nyesom Wike over remarks about former PDP Deputy National Chairman Olabode George.

The party accused Wike of distorting its history and minimising George’s contribution to the PDP. Lagos PDP spokesman Dr Christopher Odianarewo said George voluntarily withdrew his chairmanship ambition to protect fairness, zoning and party unity.

He also questioned Wike’s reported visit to George’s Abuja residence, asking why he sought his support if George lacked political relevance.

Meanwhile, the Lagos PDP rejected claims that George contributed to the party’s electoral setbacks in Lagos. It said the party had continued winning legislative and local government seats.

The party urged Wike to focus on his duties in Abuja and stay out of Lagos politics.
