The Nigerian Air Force has carried out a powerful air strike against insurgent hideouts in the Mandara Mountains. This mission is a key part of the ongoing Operation HADIN KAI, which aims to wipe out terrorism in the northeast. The strike took place in Guduf, a rugged area along the border of Nigeria and Cameroon. Officials confirmed that the operation happened on 27 April 2026, following days of careful monitoring and gathering credible intelligence about enemy movements.
Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, who speaks for the Air Force, explained that the mission was very successful. High-tech aircraft were used to find and hit specific terrorist structures and supply bases that help the insurgents. He noted that the pilots used precision targeting to ensure they only hit the intended targets. This careful planning helped protect the environment and kept innocent civilians safe during the attack. The military is committed to following strict rules of engagement while dealing with these hostile groups.
By destroying these terrorist structures, the Air Force has significantly weakened the power of the insurgent networks in the region. The Mandara Mountains have long been used as a secret base for planning attacks, but this latest strike has disrupted their ability to move and launch new raids. The Air Force has vowed to continue these counter-terrorism operations until the area is completely secure. They are working hard to deny any freedom of action to these groups and ensure that all Nigerians can live in peace. This successful mission shows that the military is dedicated to defending the nation’s borders and keeping everyone safe.
