The Nigeria Revenue Service (NRS) has launched Rev360, a next-generation digital tax administration platform designed to transform tax collection and compliance across the country. The agency revealed that more than 600,000 taxpayers have already been onboarded ahead of the platform’s public rollout, marking a major milestone in Nigeria’s digital tax reform efforts.
Speaking at the launch ceremony in Abuja, NRS Executive Chairman Dr Zacch Adedeji described Rev360 as a key pillar of the agency’s transition to Tax Administration 3.0, a system focused on improved service delivery, greater transparency, stronger compliance management and simpler interactions between taxpayers and the tax authority.
“Rev360 represents a significant step towards building a more modern, efficient, and responsive tax administration system that aligns with global best practices and the evolving needs of taxpayers and businesses,” Dr Adedeji stated.
The Rev360 platform provides a single portal where taxpayers can register, file returns, make payments and manage compliance requirements from one interface. A standout feature is its ability to function offline, allowing users to prepare and enter data without internet access before uploading information when connectivity becomes available.
Chief of Staff to the NRS Chairman, Tayo Koleosho, said the platform was developed after years of research and lessons learned from previous systems. He noted that Rev360 consolidates several services that were previously spread across different platforms, creating a more seamless experience for users.
The agency also highlighted advanced security features designed to protect taxpayer information and boost confidence in the system. According to NRS Executive Director of Technology, Iniabasi Akpan, the platform goes beyond digital administration by incorporating intelligent compliance tools that can analyse transaction data to identify compliance trends.
The launch attracted key stakeholders, including representatives of the Ministry of Finance, business groups, development partners and professional bodies. Officials said the Rev360 platform forms part of the federal government’s broader economic reform agenda, aimed at creating a transparent, predictable and business-friendly environment.
The event also featured a live demonstration of taxpayer services, a panel discussion on implementation challenges, and the unveiling of the Rev360 Command Centre, which will provide customer support and manage operational issues during the rollout phase.
