The Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, Ojaja II, has stated that he will continue to advocate for the Olu of Warri, His Majesty Ogiame Atuwatse II, and the Ologbotsere, Chief Ayiri Emami.
Oba Ogunwusi made the declaration during a visit to Chief Emami’s home in Warri, Delta State, shortly after meeting with Ogiame Atuwatse II.
The Ooni of Ife, who stated that the Olu of Warri deserved the cooperation of all within his kingdom, also described Chief Emami as a lover of peace who desires the preservation of the Itsekiri people’s culture without blemish at all times.
“We all know, and I won’t hide it, the issue to me is for them to continue to cement the relationship, togetherness, and progress of the entire Itsekiri, Iwere people with our new king,” he said.
“I just got out of Ogiame Atuwatse. And I mentioned that I was going to see Ayiri. He was overjoyed. To tell you the truth, there is no conflict between them. Please cite me; I’m referring to two of them.
“They are coming out stronger for the betterment of the entire Warri kingdom. And, to God’s glory, I’m doing a fantastic job.
“Keep doing what you’re doing, Ologbotsere. You understand how to do it. It’s a blessing. You don’t want anything to tarnish your family history. You may know him for his philanthropy, but he does not mock the Warri people’s traditions. “I don’t go to private houses. The king has been chosen by God. You adore this kingdom above all else, and you have a beautiful heart that many people are unaware of.
“You will live a long life, Ologbotsere. Our forefathers’ spirits will continue to bless you.
You’ll keep finding peace. You will continue to have a lot of abundances in Iwere. God bless you and keep you safe.”
