Peller arrest: Influencer Peller during a content creation session before his reported detention in Lagos.

Peller arrest has triggered concern online after Nigerian content creator and influencer Tunde Perry alleged that fellow influencer Peller has remained in police custody since Friday. The claim comes as social media users continue asking about Peller’s absence from online platforms.

According to Tunde Perry, Peller arrest happened on Friday while the influencer was returning from a video shoot in the Lekki area of Lagos. He alleged that police officers stopped Peller for driving a vehicle with tinted windows and without a number plate.

Speaking during a TikTok live session, Tunde Perry said Peller had been held at a police station since Friday. He also claimed that authorities later transferred the case from Lekki to Ikeja.

Furthermore, Tunde Perry alleged that the arrest came only minutes after Peller encountered a group of suspected area boys at the filming location. According to him, the group allegedly demanded ₦250,000 from the influencer before he left the area.

However, the police have not publicly confirmed the circumstances surrounding the Peller arrest or responded to the detention claims at the time of publication.

The allegations have generated reactions across social media, with supporters calling for clarification from the authorities. Meanwhile, questions remain over Peller’s whereabouts and the status of the case.

BBC News has not independently verified the claims made by Tunde Perry, and efforts to obtain an official police response were ongoing at the time of writing.
