SIX MONTHS' SUSPENSION FOR NATIONAL VICE CHAIR FROM APC

Comrade Mustapha Salihu, National Vice Chairman (North-East) of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has been placed on administrative leave for six months by the party’s Rumde Ward Working Committee in Yola North Local Government Area.

Salihu was suspended due to allegedly anti-party behavior.

Together with Abdulkadir Abdullahi, the party’s ward chairman, he was suspended.
The suspension notices were signed over the weekend by 16 individuals, including Abdulhadi Ahmed, the vice chairman of the APC in Rumde Ward, Garba Mohammed, and the secretary.

The All Progressives Congress’s suspension letter for Comrade Mustapha Salihu states: “The All Progressives Congress, Rumde Ward Working Committee, Yola North Local Government Area(LGA) held an emergency meeting on Sunday, February 19, 2023 and considered, among other things, the immediate suspension of the North-East Vice Chairman of the APC, Comrade Mustapha Salihu over glaring and proven anti-party activities, gross abuse of office, and creating crisis within the ranks of the party at all

Therefore, in order to serve as a deterrent to others in the future and in accordance with the pertinent provisions of the constitution of our great party, the members of the working committee have adopted and approved the suspension of Comrade.Mustapha Salihu for a period of six months with immediate effect.

“This committee is highly cognizant of the duties entrusted to it by the party, and it will always uphold the party’s supremacy above any individual or group’s personal interests, especially when doing so puts the party’s electoral prospects in jeopardy.
