Seyi Tinubu, the son of the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate in the upcoming general election, visited Maiduguri, the Borno State capital, yesterday, where he joined the APC Youth Mandate Group (YMG) leadership in distributing food and non-food items to the needy.
Seyi donated a brand new ambulance, drugs, and other medical supplies to Borno State Specialist Hospital on behalf of the YMG.
Mr. Seyi paid visits to Governor Babagana Umara Zulum and His Royal Highness, the Shehu of Borno, Alhaji Abubakar Ibn Umar Garbai Elkanemi while in Maiduguri.
The presidential candidate’s son praised Governor Zulum and the security forces for their unwavering efforts in the fight against insurgency.
He went on to say that Zulum has shown good leadership qualities under the APC-led administration, and he congratulated the state’s resilient people on the relative peace now enjoyed by all communities.
The governor thanked Seyi for his visit and the donations, which he said would help supplement the government’s efforts to improve the lives of the citizens.
While at the Shehu’s palace, Seyi congratulated the traditional ruler on the successful marriage of his daughter last Saturday.
The royal wedding of HRH Umar Sidi Bage, son of the Emir of Lafiya, and Aisha Shehu Abubakar, daughter of the Shehu of Borno, was also witnessed by Vice President Yemi Osinbajo and over 80 emirs and chiefs from across the country.
Seyi also visited various youth groups, clubs, and associations to solicit mandates and support for the Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Kashim Shettima (BATKSM) ticket and all APC candidates.
