The All Progressives Congress (APC) senator Aliyu Wamakko believes that Senator Bola Tinubu, the party’s presidential candidate, will prevail on the first ballot in the upcoming election.

This information was disclosed in a statement made public on Monday by Dr. Danladi Bako, the head of the publicity committee for the APC’s governorship campaign in Sokoto State.

According to reports, Wamakko made the claim during a news conference in Sokoto on Sunday. He praised President Muhammadu Buhari for backing Tinubu for the presidency while he was abroad in Addis Abeba.

Bako claims that Wamakko reaffirmed Buhari’s support for Tinubu as evidence of his leadership abilities and as a boost to the spirits of all APC members nationwide as they get ready for the general elections on February 25.

In addition to expressing his support for Tinubu’s presidential bid, Wamakko, who is also the APC’s senatorial candidate for Sokoto North, promised Nigerians that he would win his seat and work to ensure that the party takes home the majority of seats in the House of Representatives as well as all three senatorial seats in Sokoto.

He also reaffirmed his conviction that the APC will hold power in Sokoto State by May 29, 2023.

Last week in Sokoto, the APC had a successful presidential and governorship rally.
