The All Progressives Congress (APC) will be led by President Muhammadu Buhari today in Bauchi State to support Bola Tinubu, the party’s presidential candidate, and Kashim Shettima, Tinubu’s running partner.
The President will attend the rally in Bauchi slated for 8:30 a.m., according to the campaign schedule issued by James Faleke, secretary of the Presidential Campaign Council (PCC), yesterday.
As Buhari is anticipated to arrive in Lagos on the same day for a two-day visit, the event would start earlier than other rallies, according to Bayo Onanuga, director of media and publicity for the APC Presidential Campaign Council.
He will inaugurate the Lekki Deep Sea Port in Lagos, a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) project between the Federal Government, the State of Lagos, and a private business called Tolaram.
Buhari will also open the 18.75-kilometer, six-lane rigid-pavement Eleko Junction to Epe Expressway and the world’s largest rice mill, the 32 metric ton per hour Lagos Rice Mill.
On Tuesday, he’s scheduled to dedicate the John Randle Centre for Yoruba Culture and History as well as the opening of the iconic Blue Line’s first phase.
Tomorrow in Abia State and Wednesday in Ogun State, Tinubu will campaign.
The APC presidential candidate and his running mate will also canvass for votes in Benue and Taraba states on Thursday, making it a busy week for electioneering. The Taraba rally will take place between 2.30 and 4.30 p.m., while the Benue event is scheduled for between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m.
On Friday, Shettima will inaugurate the All Farmers Progressive Association and commission tractors for members as the campaign train makes its way back to Abuja.
