In Ogun State, southwest Nigeria, protesters against the shortage of naira have set fire to two bank facilities.
The incident happened in the state’s Sagamu region.
Witnesses witnessed the protestors, who were also protesting the state’s lack of gasoline, set fire to the Keystone and Union bank buildings. At the time of the incident, it was thought that the buildings were deserted.
Also, the protesters lit bonfires along other local roadways.
Days have passed since a comparable event in the state before the one on Monday.
In protest of the suffering brought on by the continued dearth of the naira, demonstrators in Ogun State’s Mowe-Ibafo neighborhood stopped the always congested Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.
