On Friday, President Bola Tinubu is holding a meeting in the Presidential Villa in Abuja with members of the Progressive Governors’ Forum (PGF).

The President was meeting with the governors of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) for the first time since his inauguration, and he was joined by Vice President Kashim Shettima.

Governors from Imo, Gome, Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos, Hope Uzodinma of Imo, Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa, Umar Namadi of Jigawa, Inuwa Yahaya of Gome, Yahaya Bello of Kogi, Professor Babagana Zulum of Borno, and Mai Mala Buni of Yobe are also present.

Others include Father Hyacinth Alia of Benue, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq of Kwara, Dapo Abiodun of Ogun, Umar Bago of Niger, Aliyu Ahmed of Sokoto, Francis Nwifuru of Ebonyi, and Uba Sani of Kaduna.

Tijjani Umar, the permanent secretary of the White House, and Nuhu Ribadu, the previous chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), are also there.

The meeting’s agenda wasn’t known when this report was filed; it started at around 11:35 a.m.
