By Babatunji Wusu| The Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu Independent Campaign Group (PBAT ICG), Tajudeen Oluyole Olusi, has said that President Bola Tinubu’s 2027 campaign will be built around the administration’s achievements rather than fresh promises.
Olusi made the remarks in Lagos during a strategic stakeholders’ meeting of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and supporters of the PBAT ICG, where discussions centred on preparations for the 2027 general elections.
According to him, the Tinubu administration has implemented major economic reforms aimed at repositioning Nigeria for sustainable growth, improving fiscal discipline and creating a stronger foundation for long-term development. He noted that the government has recorded progress in revenue generation, increased allocations to states and local governments, enhanced investor confidence and reduced reliance on borrowing for recurrent expenditure.
Olusi explained that the removal of fuel subsidy and the unification of the foreign exchange market, though challenging, were necessary steps that have helped stabilise the economy and attract new investments into critical sectors.
He also highlighted several programmes introduced under the administration, including the Students Loan Scheme, Consumer Credit Scheme, and the Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) initiative. He further pointed to infrastructure development, improvements in the health sector, and renewed attention to agriculture and food security as key accomplishments.
“President Tinubu’s 2027 campaign will not be built on empty promises but on concrete achievements that Nigerians can see and evaluate. The Renewed Hope Agenda is already yielding positive results, and more benefits will become evident as ongoing reforms mature,” Olusi said.
Also speaking at the meeting, the convener of the PBAT ICG, Dr Seyi Bamigbade, stated that the administration has intensified efforts to tackle insecurity, improve oil production and strengthen social intervention programmes for vulnerable citizens.
He urged members and supporters of the group nationwide to continue promoting the gains of the Tinubu 2027 campaign agenda while mobilising support for the President and Dr Kadri Obafemi Hamzat as the next governor of Lagos State.
