Arsenal Premier League title celebrations erupted after Manchester City dropped points in a 1-1 draw with Bournemouth on Wednesday, confirming the Gunners as champions. The result left City on 78 points with only one match remaining, while Arsenal moved beyond reach on 82 points.
This historic success marks Arsenal’s first Premier League crown since the famous 2003-04 “Invincibles” campaign under legendary former manager Arsène Wenger. That unforgettable side completed the entire season unbeaten and remains one of the greatest teams in English football history.
The Arsenal Premier League title triumph also delivers a major breakthrough for manager Mikel Arteta. The Spaniard took charge in 2019 after spending three and a half years working alongside Pep Guardiola at Manchester City. His work has now guided the North London club back to the summit of English football.
Swedish striker Viktor Gyökeres led Arsenal’s attack brilliantly with 14 league goals this season. Captain Martin Ødegaard and Belgian forward Leandro Trossard both finished with six assists each. In defence, goalkeeper David Raya earned his third straight Golden Glove award after recording 19 clean sheets.
With the Arsenal Premier League title now secured, attention quickly turns to the UEFA Champions League final, where the Gunners will face defending champions Paris Saint-Germain in the 2025-26 showdown.
Can Arsenal now complete a remarkable season by conquering Europe as well?
