Nollywood actress, Bimbo Ademoye, was recently caught in a tense confrontation on a movie set after a group of suspected “area boys” allegedly stormed her outdoor filming location and demanded what they described as “settlement.”
In a video shared on X (formerly Twitter) by user Usmanashafe, the actress is seen standing her ground as the men insist she must pay them for filming within their neighbourhood.
Visibly upset but composed, Ademoye rejected their approach, stressing that while she is not opposed to supporting people financially, it must be done on her own terms and not under pressure.
“I am a street girl, let me tell you. Ask around when it comes to matters of the street, I like settling boys. But you don’t come to me and start telling me the amount to give. Yes, you came to beg, and you’re even being proud of it,” she said.
The situation reportedly escalated when one of the men threatened to shut down her camera equipment.
In response, the actress fired back, dismissing the threat and defending her production tools.
“Camera that nobody in your generation has,” she replied sharply.
The video has since generated reactions online, with many users debating the recurring challenge of film productions facing disruptions during outdoor shoots in some communities.
