In order to bring the murder of Eze Ignitus Asor, the traditional ruler of Obudi Agwa Community in Oguta Council Area of Imo State, to justice, President Muhammadu Buhari has ordered security and law enforcement agencies to conduct a comprehensive investigation.
Five people, including Eze Asor and his chiefs, were killed when gunmen, thought to be local youths, entered the residence of the traditional ruler on Monday as a community issue was being handled.
In a statement released in response to the event by Mallam Garba Shehu, his Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Buhari denounced the killings and offered his sympathies to the bereaved families and the community members.

The perpetrators of the heinous act must face the full force of the law, according to the President, who orders security authorities in the State to conduct a thorough investigation.
“While expressing his condolences to the victims’ loved ones, friends, the Obudi-Agwa community, and all those affected by the attacks, the President prays for their quick recovery.
The statement reads, “President Buhari acknowledges the spirited efforts by the Imo State Government at improving the security situation and strongly encourages all Imo residents and citizens to vigorously support the collective efforts of state actors and members of the local community to keep everyone safe.”
