Davido Naira Marley Controversy as Isreal DMW denies claims against Davido

Isreal DMW, logistics manager to Nigerian singer Davido, has denied claims linking the musician to the Davido Naira Marley Controversy, including allegations surrounding late singer Mohbad and social media activist VeryDarkMan.

In a statement posted on his social media handle, Isreal said Davido did not authorise anyone to join a WhatsApp group allegedly connected to the controversy.

He insisted that those who joined the group did so without the singer’s knowledge or approval.

“Those who were in that WhatsApp group, got there without his instructions or approval,” Isreal said.

He also dismissed claims that Davido requested Mohbad’s music catalogue or attempted to sign singer Zinoleesky, who was previously associated with Naira Marley’s Marlian Records.

Isreal questioned why Davido would pursue such moves or become involved in a dispute with music producer Samklef.

He described the allegations reported to VeryDarkMan as false.

Furthermore, Isreal said some people pressured Davido to unfollow Naira Marley on Instagram during the controversy. However, he claimed the singer refused because he wanted the police to investigate the matter.

He said Davido did not want to rely on rumours or unverified claims.

According to Isreal, Davido and Naira Marley remained on good terms despite the allegations. He added that both musicians had previously collaborated on a hit song.

Addressing an alleged incident at Naira Marley’s residence, Isreal said the disagreement involved Tolu, a former member of Davido’s 30BG crew, and one of Naira Marley’s associates.

He maintained that nobody was beaten or attacked during the incident.

The statement comes amid renewed discussions about the Davido Naira Marley Controversy and allegations linking the singer to events surrounding Mohbad’s death and VeryDarkMan.

Isreal’s comments represent his account of the events. The claims have not been independently established in the statement.
