Prophet Isa El-Buba has criticised Islamic cleric Sheikh Yahya Jingir after he reportedly described Christians as “infidels” while discussing Nigeria’s Muslim-Muslim political ticket.
El-Buba said such remarks could deepen religious tension in a country already facing insecurity, poverty, banditry and drug abuse.
He urged religious and political leaders to promote unity and focus on solving Nigeria’s problems instead of dividing citizens along religious lines.
The General Overseer of El-Buba Outreach Ministries said he was speaking with a “heavy heart” and urged Nigerians to learn to live together peacefully.
El-Buba attacks cleric over ‘infidels’ comment, saying he had supported thousands of Muslims across northern Nigeria despite having no personal ties with many of them.
