Achraf Hakimi scored a hat-trick as Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) secured a convincing 5-1 victory over bottom-placed Le Havre on Friday to extend their lead at the top of Ligue 1.
Despite missing several regular players through injury, the European champions delivered an impressive performance. They also rested some key players on the bench but still claimed all three points.
The victory took PSG to 20 points from their opening nine league matches. They now lead second-placed Lille by two points, while third-placed Rennes sit four points behind with 16.
Lille moved above Rennes after veteran striker Olivier Giroud came off the bench to score an 86th-minute winner in a 1-0 home victory over derby rivals RC Lens.
At the Stade Océane, Hakimi was the standout performer, scoring three goals and providing two assists. He also set up Mika Godts and Senny Mayulu after Josh Maja had given the hosts an early lead.
The Morocco international put PSG ahead in the 28th minute with a close-range finish at the near post.
He doubled his tally in the 55th minute, finding the bottom corner with a free kick. Hakimi completed his hat-trick in the 69th minute with a deflected effort.
His three goals and two assists helped PSG turn the match into a comfortable victory and maintain their position at the top of the Ligue 1 table.
