According to Jeremy Renner, his New Year’s Day snow plow mishap resulted in him breaking more than 30 bones.

The actor was crushed by his snowplow earlier this month, leaving him in severe condition in an ICU. The Marvel Cinematic Universe star sustained “orthopaedic injuries” and “blunt chest trauma.” The following day, he underwent emergency surgery, according to a statement from his representative.

This past weekend (January 21), he published an update with his followers on Instagram, detailing the severity of his wounds.

“Morning workouts, resolutions, all changed this specific new year,” he wrote. grew out of the sorrow that befell my entire family and was soon centered on bringing people together in love.

I would want to express my gratitude to everyone for their kind words and concern for my family and I. I love and appreciate you all very much. Just as the love and bond with family and friends become stronger, these more than 30 fractured bones will heal. Regards and blessings to everyone.

After the horrific accident last week, Renner left the hospital and went back home a day after posting an update on Instagram lamenting the loss of his “happy place.”

Since the incident, Renner has received encouraging notes from several directors and co-stars. “My heart is with @JeremyRenner,” Guardians of the Galaxy director James Gunn wrote on Twitter.

In the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Mark Ruffalo, who portrays Bruce Banner/The Hulk, wrote on Instagram: “Prayers up for our brother @jeremyrenner on a full and rapid recovery. Please send him healing energy.

After hearing about Renner’s mishap and subsequent dash to the hospital on New Year’s Day, a spokesman said that he had undergone surgery on January 2.

The actor’s agent also said in a statement to Deadline that the actor had recovered from surgery and was still in a critical but stable condition in the intensive care unit.

“Jeremy’s family would like to express their gratitude to the amazing doctors and nurses caring for him, as well as the Carano and Murdock families, Truckee Meadows Fire and Rescue, Washoe County Sheriff, and Reno City Mayor Hillary Schieve.
