The Lagos State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board has successfully transported all 1,600 Lagos pilgrims to Makkah for the 2026 Hajj exercise.
The board’s Secretary, AbdulHakeem Ajomagberin, said officials coordinated visa processing, medical screening and travel documentation to ensure a smooth operation.
He described the exercise as a major logistical mission carried out in partnership with the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria, NAHCON, with five flights deployed to move pilgrims from Nigeria to Saudi Arabia.
Ajomagberin also praised NAHCON for providing accommodation and feeding arrangements for Lagos pilgrims in Madinah.
He urged the pilgrims to uphold discipline throughout the spiritual exercise and pray for peace, unity and progress in Nigeria.
