Ibor Thank-God, 22, was given an eight-month prison sentence for breaking and entering by an Ota Magistrates’ Court in Ogun on Friday.

Thank-God was charged with burglary, theft, and conspiracy on three counts, and he was accused of breaking into a home and taking three stabilisers and other valuables worth N284,000.
The defendant, whose residence was not given, had admitted guilt to charges of conspiracy, theft, and burglary.

The convict was given an eight-month prison sentence without the possibility of a fine by the magistrate, Mrs. A.O. Adeyemi.
Earlier, Insp. E.O. Adaraloye, the prosecutor, said the court that the offenses were committed on September 5, at 12.30 a.m., at Km 111, next to Zenith Bank, along Idi-Iroko road, Ota, by the convict and those still at large.

According to Adaraloye, the offender and his companions planned to sneak into Nancy Enyioma’s shop and steal three stabilisers, a refrigerator, and other important equipment valued N284,000.
Sections 390(4), 413(1)(2), and 516 of the Criminal Code, Laws of Ogun, 2006, he claimed, were broken by the offenses.
