Kogi Central Senator, Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, has reaffirmed her readiness to confront former Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello, declaring that she is not intimidated by him and remains his “political nightmare.”
Speaking on the Mic On Podcast on Saturday, the senator dismissed suggestions that Bello poses any threat to her political ambition, insisting she would boldly face him in any electoral contest.
Akpoti-Uduaghan said if both of them appear on the ballot, she would welcome the challenge without hesitation. According to her, Bello is not her nightmare, but rather the reverse.
“If by any choice I make up my mind and I’m on the ballot and ex-Governor Yahaya Bello is on the ballot, then I would say bring it on. Scared of who? He’s not my nightmare; rather, I’m his political nightmare,” she stated.
The senator also addressed controversies surrounding her constituency projects, clarifying that she merely pointed out that some of her projects were removed. She did not directly accuse Senate President Godswill Akpabio of being responsible.
“I said someone removed my projects,” she said.
Her comments have reignited political conversations in Kogi State, particularly ahead of future electoral contests, as she continues to position herself as a formidable force in the state’s political landscape.
