The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has impeded an endeavor by a 32-year-old financial specialist, Mrs Pamela Odin, to traffic 2.150kg tablets of Rohypnol through the Nnamdi Azikiwe Worldwide Air terminal (NAIA) Abuja.
The Chief, Media and Advocacy of the NDLEA, Mr Femi Babafemi, made the declaration in a proclamation on Sunday in Abuja.
Babafemi said that the mother of one was captured on Sept. 23, while endeavoring to load up a Turkish carriers trip with the medication covered inside pepper and stuffed among food item.
He said that the suspect, an indigene of Afiesere town in the Ughelli NorthLocal Government Area of Delta, guaranteed she works an eatery in Istanbul, Turkey.
“She professed to have come to Nigeria to see her family members and purchase food things for her eatery business,” Babafemi added.
In the mean time, two Malians: Mohammed Demoele, 38, and Coulibaly Maliki, 56, have been captured by officials of the Marine Unit of the NDLEA at Ebute Ero Jetty in Lagos.

Babafemi said that the suspects were captured for endeavoring to send out 34.2kg containers of another psychoactive substance, Akuskura, to Mali through Cotonou in Benin Republic.
