Tests conducted over the weekend revealed that Atlético Madrid forward lvaro Morata had no significant injuries, which brought relief to Spain.
In the team’s 3-2 Spanish league loss against Cádiz on Saturday, Morata injured his right ankle and had to be replaced.

The injury was initially described as a “contusion” by Atlético, but later it was revealed that he had an edema on the soft tissue of his ankle.

Morata’s return to training will depend on how well his recovery is coming along, according to Atlético. He wasn’t anticipated to participate in this week’s Champions League match at Porto.

After defeating Liverpool in the Uruguayan Championship final, Suarez thanked the supporters of Nacional.

After defender Mamadou Mbaye stepped on Morata’s right foot in the seventh minute, he was unable to continue playing. He writhed on the ground for a while before Matheus Cunha replaced him, at which point he gently walked away.

When Spain’s head coach Luis Enrique names his World Cup roster on November 11, Morata is his first-choice striker.

On November 23, Spain will play Costa Rica in the World Cup opener. In Qatar’s Group E, the 2010 victor will also compete against Germany and Japan.
