President Bola Tinubu’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Sunday Dare, has backed Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani after he said he was ready to take a bullet for the president.
Dare praised Uba Sani in a post on X, describing the governor as someone who was openly defending Tinubu’s record in Kaduna State, the North-West and Nigeria.
Sani made the comment during an interview with Trust TV when asked whether he could take a bullet for the president.
“I can take it. The favour he has done is not to me, it’s to the state. So, for me, my interest is the interest of the state,” the governor said.
Sunday Dare praises Uba Sani
Reacting to the interview, Dare said Sani was “on fire” and was not backing down from expressing his support for Tinubu.
He urged other people in positions of responsibility to speak publicly about the president’s record.
“Let others in his capacity also speak up. Let’s form that solid orchestra that speaks the truth about the works of President Tinubu,” Dare said.
The presidential aide described Sani as a man of conviction and said others who had worked with Tinubu or continued to serve under his administration also believed in the president’s leadership.
Dare added that he supported Tinubu’s mandate and believed in the president’s commitment to economic development.
Uba Sani links support to Kaduna’s interests
During the interview, Sani said his support for Tinubu was connected to what he described as the benefits the president had brought to Kaduna State.
He stressed that the state’s interests guided his position.
Dare’s response followed the governor’s remarks and reinforced his call for more public support for Tinubu’s administration.
The exchange highlights the public statements by two senior figures in the president’s political circle as they discuss his leadership and development agenda.
