The US deportation list has identified 124 Nigerians as the administration of President Donald Trump intensifies immigration enforcement across the United States. The updated list, published by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS), forms part of the government’s renewed effort to remove undocumented migrants and individuals with criminal convictions.
According to DHS, the operation targets what it described as the “worst of the worst” among undocumented immigrants arrested by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). The agency said its officers are carrying out President Trump’s pledge to strengthen border security and expand deportations.
The US deportation list includes dozens of Nigerian nationals, among them Sunday Adediora, Marcus Unigwe, Ejike Asiegbunam, Joshua Ineh, Kingsley Ariegwe, Christian Ogunghide, Chukwuemeka Okorie and Oluchi Jennifer, alongside many others.
Furthermore, DHS said the latest publication highlights individuals detained by ICE as part of ongoing nationwide enforcement operations. However, the department did not provide further details about the individual cases or the status of each deportation.
President Trump resumed office on January 20, 2025, and quickly introduced sweeping immigration measures aimed at increasing arrests, detention and removals of undocumented migrants. Since then, federal immigration authorities have expanded enforcement activities across several states.
Meanwhile, immigration advocates have continued to monitor the policy, while supporters argue the measures strengthen national security and enforce existing immigration laws. The administration maintains that the campaign prioritises individuals with criminal records before extending enforcement to other immigration violations.
The US deportation list marks another step in the administration’s broader immigration agenda, which remains one of the defining policies of President Trump’s second term.
