-PSG’s Donnarumma in tears after collision with Bayern star
-Germany midfielder suffers setback on long-awaited return

Bayern Munich’s Jamal Musiala could face a lengthy spell on the sidelines after suffering a serious leg injury during the Club World Cup quarter-final against Paris Saint-Germain.

The 22-year-old midfielder, who had just returned to Bayern’s starting XI after three months out, was stretchered off the pitch following a brutal collision with PSG’s goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma on Saturday evening.

Musiala, who has been one of the standout performers in the tournament, appeared to twist his foot awkwardly after clashing with the Italian shot-stopper. Donnarumma, overcome with emotion, was visibly shaken and fought back tears as he watched medical staff attend to the fallen German.

The match had marked a hopeful return for Musiala, who quickly reminded fans of his brilliance with his third goal in the competition—just one shy of Club World Cup top scorer Ángel Di María, who recently declared the end of his European career.

Bayern Munich have yet to confirm the extent of Musiala’s injury, but early signs suggest it could keep the young star out of action for an extended period—casting doubt on his availability for the remainder of the tournament and potentially beyond.

Musiala’s injury is a major blow for both Bayern and Germany, as he had been regaining form and fitness at a critical stage of the season.
