Nigerian actress and content creator, Bukunmi Adeaga Ilori, popularly known as Kiekie, has stressed the importance of maintaining clear boundaries between personal life and public brand in the entertainment industry.

Speaking at the The Creative Blueprint 2.0, Kiekie explained that she deliberately separates her private identity from her professional persona as a comic entertainer.

“I have created a very thick line between what is personal to me as Oluwabukunmi Adeaga Ilori and what belongs to my brand as Kiekie,” she said, noting that her brand is built around her roles as an event host, TV personality, actor, and content creator, with comedy as her core content style.

She revealed that her husband, Tunji Ilori, is not featured in her content, humorously stating that he is “not funny,” and therefore does not fit into her comic brand.

However, Kiekie noted that her daughter, Nola Ilori, occasionally appears in her content because of her natural presence on camera. She added that even this is done with caution, as she limits such appearances to periods when the child is on academic break.

The actress used the platform to caution fellow creatives against excessive exposure of their private lives, particularly involving family members.

“We overmilk viral moments until it becomes annoying, and that is where oversharing comes in,” she said, urging content creators to exercise restraint in the age of digital visibility.
