President Bola Tinubu’s aide, O’tega Ogra, has threatened to take legal action against Nigerian singer Timi Dakolo following a public spat on social media.
The dispute began when Dakolo, in a post on X (formerly Twitter), accused Ogra of ignoring his phone calls. The post quickly drew attention online, sparking mixed reactions from fans and observers.
In a swift response, Ogra dismissed Dakolo’s claims and warned that any further attempt to drag him into personal controversy would attract legal consequences. He described the issue as an “institutional matter” that the singer had wrongly personalised.
“I see and have noted the commentary. I will not engage in explication where none is required. My record is public and stands on its merits,” Ogra wrote on X. “Any further attempt to personalise a clearly institutional matter will be met with formal correction and the appropriate professional and legal redress.”
The exchange between the presidential aide and the celebrated musician has since stirred debate online, with many Nigerians weighing in on professionalism, accountability, and the role of public figures in managing disputes.
